so sarah and i decided to deck up our dorm with a couple of christmas inspired trinkets:
of course christmas coffee cups.
candy bucket.
this was a halloween bucket..
but i taped on some white printer paper and threw on a cute red ribbon.
talk about twice new. :)
a santa pillow and some more red ribbon to make a normal paper clip holder a jolly paper clip holder!
my charlie brown christmas tree & a long-legged yarn ball santa!
and what's christmas without christmas lights?
now that the room is all christmas-y, wonderfully rich with reds & greens, and with sweet tunes and lyrics filling it up.... it's goal time.
november's goals:
-give sam an amazing birthday. **
-say thank you to someone who doesn't hear it enough. **
-drink another pumpkin spice latte. **
-focus on simplicity devotions. **
-read instead of watching tv before bed. *
-drink more water. **
-run 2x week. *
-memorize scripture. **
-knock out some christmas shopping. **
-pray aloud at thanksgiving meals. **

december goals:
-run 2x week.
-read more instead of watching tv before bed.
- paint fingernails a jolly color.
-remind someone the reason we celebrate christmas.
-get up earlier.
-do well on finals.
-read a book over christmas break.
-try a chai latte.
-have a stress-free christmas day.
-go on a date with sam to the pit.
-go to tanglewood to see pretty christmas lights.
-shoot engagement&family shots. (both got postponed due to weather & sick babies.)

ReplyDeleteThinking of integrating your goals section idea into my blog. BTW...great goals! Love the tv or lack of idea.
My next blog is about an idea I have on family time. No Power or technology every day for a set amount of time. Some areas of Europe do it now...Americans did it as a way of saving energy during war times. I'll explain more in a blog.
