the one on a girl's night out.

The final weeks are here... finally.  I am so over this semester and summer is calling screaming my name.
Yesterday was success in full.  First, the fabulous Royal Wedding, then I went with a bunch of friends to take part in NCSU's attempt at the world's largest Zumba class!  It was so much fun. I just love Zumba!  Then my girls, Sarah Ann & Sarah went out a girl's night.

We went to this neat little place at Cameron Village...

It had such a cute vibe..

with wonderful outside seating for fabulous weather...

&& also completely fabulous food.
I got the Chicken Mozzarella Panini & a House Salad - it was so, so good!

Then we walked around Cameron Village && made a stop at Fresh Market.

Got some samples of some really tasty coffee...

&& invested in some real cute, delicious cupcakes from Fresh Market..
We went back got into comfy PJ's, && watched a movie as we indulged in our sweet cupcakes! (we watched How Do You Know... all in all: don't waste your time watching)

Aside from the movie being a dud.. it was a wonderful girls night out!
Thanks to Sarah & Sarah Ann.

the one on royal wedding day.

Oh. My. Word.  I am very glad I woke up super early this morning.  The Royal Wedding was completely fabulous.  Makes me want to throw this huge tea party with the most amazing hats, && men wearing white gloves (personally, I will be wearing a tiara).

Her dress blew me away.. who knew a long sleeved dress could be so incredibly stunning?   && [in a thick British accent] William Arthur Philip Louis looked dapper himself.  Now Im awaiting the kiss on the balcony!  Yay for best Royal Wedding everrr.

Now we need to work on the ginger...
[with batting of eyes].. Oooooh Prince Harry
just kidding... kinda.  :)

Happy Royal Wedding Day!

the one whose getting up super early tomorrow.

So when I turned on the Today show this morning, Matt & Meredith were in London!
Which got me even more excited about the Royal Wedding!

I am so stinkin' excited.. && yes, I will be one of those people who will be getting up at 4:30am tomorrow to watch the coverage on it.
Because, you know it's not like it's an every day occurrence & all. :)
Also, I just love me some Kate.  (seriously, she has the most perfect smile, skin, and hair... && Im dying to know what she will be wearing tomorrow!) && William was ready to get married 5 years into dating, & she wasn't... so he waited on her for 4 more years until she was ready!!  He's got it bad apparently.

[insert royal hopeless romantic tear]

I can't wait!

Are you watching the Royal Wedding?

the one with chocolate milk.

Home is the only place I will drink chocolate milk.

When I was little, chocolate milk was all I would drink.  I absolutely loved it.  As I have guess & checked my way to certain brands or ways of making it, I have settled on a bunch over the years.  But now, as a 20 year old, I still gladly & proudly drink my chocolate milk.  I absolutely love it.  But there is only ONE way I like it.

When I was at home over break, I had a glass right before bed most nights.
&& I made a tutorial of a trick that helps you fall asleep quick!

1% or 2% milk.

A giant mug or glass.

Not just tall, but really wide.

&& the good old fashioned trick... Nesquik.

&& finally my secret weapon...  a bendy straw.

Dorky post, but I took all this pictures over break for some reason.. and I needed something to do with them before they got trashed.

Do you like chocolate milk?

the one on easter.

Dyed eggs, chocolate bunnies, smiles, multi-colored Easter "grass", new outfits, sunrise, family, lots of food, Christ...

Glorious.
My Easter weekend was glorious because He is alive.  My God is not dead and this weekend I got to celebrate that.  Now, more than ever is a time of renewal & fresh starts.  && I think Im going to take advantage of that.  I hope your Easter was filled with joy, hope & love that His life, death and resurrection brings!!

This weekend was eventful, in that I saw a lot of family & friends, which was lovely.
I also got to see how baller my brother is...

I saw Madea's Great Big Family with some of the greatest people, Milly & Brooke.

I got to watch my dad work on my mom's new kitchen table.  He is so talented, and precise.
It's going to be gorgeous!

I got to play golf.. attempt rather.

I got to be with family & friends from all over my hometown.

&& Enjoyed about 1,347,831 meals on Sunday.  But it was wonderful & delicious.

My Easter weekend was glorious.

the one thing modern can't beat.

It is easily one of my favorite things to do.
I don't even have to buy (although I totally could), I could just walk in awe all day long.
I wish there was a day to celebrate it.
I personally would call it "twice new day".
Im trying so hard to only by these things for my room next year.

Ahhh, antiques.
I could antique shop all day long because "Vintage is Divine".

Vintage.
It beats modern every. single. time.

I have a slight obsession with Superman.
And looky there! It's an antique Superman - EVEN BETTER!

It's heaven on earth, people!

the one to get up.

Freshman year, every single night I would stay up until at least 2 am.  Maybe it was my new independence, or not getting up at 6 am every morning, or me feeling "rebellious" as a fresh college kid.  I don't know what I was thinking.  Now-a-days, rooms & I are rarely up past 1.  We like the joy of getting an ample amount of sleep and getting up earlier to enjoy more of the day.  I personally enjoy a nice nap, I usually find time for one at least every other day.  I much rather get up early and enjoy the morning, then find time for a nap later on in the day than sleeping in and going hard all day long.

I love mornings.  I feel like since I am starting to feel this way towards morning, I am continuing my metamorphosis into an adult.  I love waking up to the sun peering through the blinds, and then stepping outside to check the weather to see the sun over the downtown Raleigh Skyline.  I love watching the Today Show. I love devotions in the morning, especially when they are outside.  I love good morning music.  I love hot coffee while getting ready.  I love the slight chill of mornings no matter the season.
I simply love everything about mornings.

What about you?  Would you rather sleep in or get on up?

&& since it's iTunes Tuesday, enjoy my good morning music!

the one about watch tans.

While taking a "hot enough to burn your skin" shower this evening (which is very random & unnecessary information but anyways let's move on)...
I found the evidence of a successful beach trip.

Bad picture.. just took a quick one on my MacBook.
A more distinguishable watch tan!

I never, ever take off my watch..
&& as my mother cringes at any tan lines, I proudly show off my excellent watch tan.
I guess you could say I am committed to the time. :) haha.

Happy Monday!

oh && Happy Birthday to my friend, AMEILA!
She is a committed follower of my blog and she lets me know every post that she is up to date on my life.  She is beyond the word hilarious, strong, loving, & beautiful!  Milly, I hope you've had a good day! :)

the one at the beach.

While my roommate and suitemate survived the tornado in Raleigh this weekend,
I spent my days relaxing at the beach!

We started the days with early morning devotions...
(one of my absolute favorite things in the world!)

One day we slept in...

We enjoyed being out of the city.. and just the feel of salty air.

We lathered each other up!

 Played football...

Made sand castles...

Ate at Broadway one night...

Then one night we had salad, steak & baked potatoes!

Go hard or go home, right?

&& then we topped off our night with cookies, ice cream & phase ten.

It was an amazing trip.. && the weather was sooo good today, I didn't want to leave!
I am very, very hopeful that trips like this will occur more often!

Thanks to Sam, Sarah, Bradley, Kyle, Steven, Chris & Eric for an wonderful weekend away.
