the one from temple.

so another high school reunion occurred yesterday. & yes the foundation of our relationship is sports. this time however, high school basketball. (i was gonna do an extensive high school memory lane post, but all my high school pictures are on the home computer.. in which the monitor is under construction) - so never mind that. but anyways. one of my good friends from high school went on to play college ball (because yes she is that good) at TEMPLE!! she's even been on ESPN!! home girl is incredible.. she is talented. hilarious. a leader.

this post is dedicated to marli & milly.

this is marli, brooke and i.
being just weird.
before a basketball game in high school.

milly & i at her senior, my junior prom.

halloween in high school.

milly & marli in high school.

so yesterday. milly & i drove to charlotte yesterday to watch her play. temple was playing against unc-charlotte. my sister, ashley, met up with us there before leaving for work. our high school coach came too. the whole game we all reminisced about our awesome basketball games, relationships, practice, hang outs before. we got so close.. watching all of tyler perry's plays & movies. we quickly fell in love with madea & we dubbed her our mascot. we ate dino chicken tenders and drank mtn dew before games. we screamed at each other when we didn't get the play right. we celebrated each shot & game. embraced the game, regardless of win or lose. high school basketball was amazing. and such a honor to share it with those two!

so yeah. temple vs. charlotte. we watched this girl.

milly, ashley, coach smith (& his family), marli's family and i sat in the area claimed for:

awesome game. marli played wonderful. temple won.

afterwards we caught up with marli. we all graduated with different classes. but those two years we got to spend it all together. was wonderful. & i miss it. i've missed them terribly. it was so great seeing them, especially together. :) i love them to pieces.

  1. I would have loved to have watched Marli play......I still remember her in your dance class at Ms. Joyce's! She's a great person....but that's no surprize knowing her mom!

    Loved this post!
